Xmas 2010 is going to be very expensive as its now that the importers have to be placing their orders in China for delivery by sea. We are shopping with the £ dropping like a stone - tell the kiddies to thank Clown when the toys they wanted dont appear0 -
Price of oil and fuel will rise too as we buy in $$$
Cost of holidays, Your rental car. Not goodNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
I really cannot see how it could be possible that Labour could win as many seats as predicted. The polls indicate that it's pretty close, but do people really want more Labour?NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

people are stupid - just look how many idiots on this board are labour voters. not only have they voted them in and they ruined us, but they are openly saying they will vote them in again to finish the job off.
and why? because they are jealous that cameron went to a good school and university. tragic really.
labour like to tar people as racists, homophobes, zenophobes and whatever else they can think of. having a go a cameron's background is their last refuge. its ok to be racist against "toffs".
the sooner people realise that labour are hateful scum and brown is an incompetent moron the better this country will be0 -

looks like you and Gorden are a chip off the old block then.
I can't see anyone complaining about where cameron has come from, more the fact he hasn't got a fcking clue. What major policies do they stand for exactly?
It would be easier for me not to vote labour if we had some clear cut opposition. Because believe me, the last thing I want to do is have another 5 years of crash gorden. It's the case of the lesser of to evils.
And what's all this !!!!!!!! about being a toff? God you talk !!!!!. You strike me as a pre-pubesent chav still living with mommy and daddy, taking his anger of the world out on his keyboard. How old are you? 12?0 -

It takes less than 3 months by sea, not just under 10 months. (It's a slow boat to china:)).
Also the £ was lower this time last year ($1.40), so even if it was true (which it was not) it would still be cheaper than Christmas 2009.0 -
We deserve everything we get, because we are more interested in what footballer shagged who's wife than what's going on in the real world, these banksters are ruthless they do not care about any of you!As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. Not good for our standard of living mainly based on imported products though...
If the pound really drops as far as some people are predicting, parity with USD and below parity with EUR, I don't think people will be happy with the effect on many consumer goods.
Been there before with $, or as near as damm it, in early 1985. Funny enough the sky didn't fall in then either.
Instead of Guns or Butter, the 21st Century choice is jobs or cheap chinese toys and T-shirts.
Anyone who thinks most people are going to be better off over the next few years are deluding themselves (yes you Hamish!).0 -
yaaayyyyy, more stuff that thus far has had zero effect on me or anyone I know. Still waiting for the world to implode and the prophecy to come true.0

The British pound dropped 1.8 percent to $1.4969 after sliding to $1.4784, the lowest level since May 1. The U.K. currency fell against all 16 of its most-traded counterparts, weakening 1.4 percent to 90.228 pence per euro.

Spain and the other PIIGS can only look on in envy
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
