    i agree with ginnersinner, maybe best to inform your insurance company, as if down the line the other party comes up with a crack-pot story of how you reversed into him and drove off, then you would have nothing to back you up as it wasnt reported.

    ring your insurance brokers and state that you want to report an incident for information purposes only incase it comes back to you, they will understand. then you are covered incase the person happens to do that kind of thing.

    it does happen quite a lot unfortunately, there are people out there who know how to get money out of you, and if they think they can do it they will.
