Cruising on saturday from southampton - advice pls

On Saturday we are travelling to Southampton for a cruise. We are leaving early to avoid traffic, therefore, we wil be in Southampton for around half a day.

Does anyone know of good places to park (car parks, hotels etc.) or good places to eat?

If you have a drink at The Grand Harbour Hotel you might be able to see your ship.Coffee is about £2 for a pot and free parking.

West Quay in Southampton is Europe largest shopping centre, but I'ld rather relax before boarding.

In fact you might be able to drop off your luggage at the terminal then pop into town.
