Shoes have fallen apart in less than two months...

Hi all, hoep you're well. I treated myself to a new pair of smart shoes to wear for work just before christmas and began to wear them after new year. Now, not even two months later, they're literally on the edge of falling to pieces. I purchased from a well known clothes retailers clearence store...

Now, the shoes have been well looked after and weren't even worn during the really bad weather earlier in the year, so they've been worn for less than two months in reality but one shoe is split in half on the sole and the other one has the heel half hanging on.

You can see from the general outlook of the shoes that they've been well looked after, hardly worn and that this is down to serious defects. I don't have the reciept unfortunately but my bank statement shows the purchase - what can I do? I wouldn't mind if this was a year or so down the line....but, two months?

Thanks in advance. :)

Nope, the only post I deal with is my own.

So, will the retailer be sympathetic to this issue despite only a bank statement and no reciept? considering the fact that the shoes are eseentially hanging on by a thread before disintegrating? Will the sale of goods act see this through?

I think that they will be happy with a bank statement, its worth a try.

Yeah, I'll likely give it a go tonight and see them, it's a bit of a drive mind you so I was hoping to be sure that I wasn't wasting my time doing it. :)
