1 - firstly got statements for abbey claim - theres still approx 15 months from when the account was open til the dates the statements i got today start, so there wanting me to pay £10 to get these, however since looking at the statements theres only £130 i can claim back (and im planning on it) as i have managed to get most of the charges refunded at the time and kept the account better kept than i thought, so is it worth paying the tenner and getting the statements and finding no charges or redunded ones and therefore reducing the amount im gonna get back
2 i had 2 current accounts and a loan account (dont think there were any charges associated with the loan but its worth a try) with lloyds which will have a fair amount of charges on them, although they have been closed down for a few years now and i dont have the bank account numbers anymore, to get this info i need to go to a branch which isnt really practial at the moment or can i when sending the letters ask for the statements from all accounts held by myself
3 also the 6 year rule, is that from now or since the accounts were closed down approx 3 years ago can i only claim for the last 3 years (which i think the majoririty of the charges were from
im asking this in general terms, i am a member of the consumer action group forums but feel more at home here asking rather than over there

When I first read this site the only charge I'd had was £20 off Lloyds about 4 years ago on a credit card, can't remember any details of the account and I haven't got the card any more, they'd probably like you, charge me £10 for the information and for the sake of £10 and it being a couple of hours work and a drive to the bank (using fuel) I can't be bothered so not sure about the time limit but I think it is 6 years from the charge being applied.
If you have any old statements printed or can view them with online banking you won't need to pay £10 as you'll know the details. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
If you do like it please hit the thanks button.0
