Browser Choice shortcut is it part of Antivirus Soft?

Hi,
I have had a weekend spent trying to get rid of Antivirus Soft (it changes settings so that you can't get on the internet). I also won't let you do pretty much anything unless you buy their " antivrus software " !!!
Well, i have done practically everything that it said to do on mybleeping computer.com ( i did system restore which i did not need to do but the only thing i did different from instructions was not rename the malware or something like that as i did not understand what exactly it meant). Anyway, i am not having any problems now as it seems to have worked.
I had the virus on my laptop and home computer so somehow one spread it to the other.
My question is that there is just this thing that looks like it arrived around the same time and it is still on my desktop and its on my other computer desktop that is switched off and that i have not tackled yet(it was switched off all the time and still is). It looks like a shortcut to a file and it is named "Browser Choice" and it is Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32 .
Is this anything to be worried about? My avg antivirus scanned it and said it was ok (only took a second). My malware can't seem to check it though. I know the malware was the thing that really dealt with the biggest part of it rather than the antivirus. I just want to check that the virus has really gone as i want to change all my passwords.
