You don't get charged these charges if its in your agreed overdraft. Only in unauthorised overdraft.
Not only that, but you don't pay anything at all for being overdrawn by £250 or less.

Karate Dragon - Another point that highlights this is you getting charged for paying in a cheque and if it bounces then YOU get charged, lifes a biatch indeed...... but that aint fair it's criminal.

Well they are not a clearing bank and I think the bank they use charge them and they pass it on. I havn't had a cheque I have paid in bounce on me yet. I am pleased with the Building Society and understand their fee structure.

Just stay within your limits and you won't see any charges!!

If you know you won't have access to check your online banking, just give them a quick call and get a balance. They are there 24 hours a day.............

For the record I couldn't find any info about their fees relating to this particular matter on their website and we didnt go over £500 overdrawn.

You obviously did not look hard enough....have a look here. However, you do not need the website to find info, fd send out t&cs in post as well.

So sorry..... yes if I can highlight this for other people with a view to them avoiding the same mistake then yes I would like to highlight it as I personally think their fee structure is unfair.

Not sure what you are warning people about...different banks have different charge structures in place and it is your responsibility to be on top of it.
