Broken faulty twin pram

I've already posted a few days ago but got no replys so thought I would try again :)

My gran bought me a twin pram costing £540 last February from Baby world and within 4 weeks of use the wheels started jamming We sent it away to be repaired and have since had to send it away once more to be repaired however this time it came back still faulty with the wrong part being repaired. They will no longer repair the pram as the company who deal with the pram will no longer repair prams from the UK as of last week. They have tracked down a replacement chassis for me but it is suspected to be second hand scratch/dent so have told me they will repair that pram and give me that as a replacement.

Do I have to accept a second hand repaired chassis as replacement? What are my rights?

    Hi there

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the pram and explaining what has already happened with the pram as they can sometimes be helpful.

What pram make and model is it ??
Who did you purchase the pram from and who is this

"company who deal with the pram will no longer repair prams from the UK as of last week."

sorry for the 101 questions lol
  • Hiya,
    Thanks for the reply :)

The manufacturer of the pram Leebruss went into administration in the UK however they still sell over seas but no longer have rights to my pram (Leebruss ABC Design Zoom). The company ABC Design took back their original rights to the pram but will no longer repair or have anything to do with any prams sold by Leebruss (they decided this last week). I bought the pram from Babyworld.co.uk and they are being extremely helpful under the circumstances but so far have only been able to track down a secondhand, scratch/dent pram that they are hoping to repair for me. What worries me about accepting this offer is where would I stand if this repaired chassis encounters a problem after i've accepted it? i've already spent nearly 3 and a half months without being able to use my pram within the year because of fault and repair. This last issue has left me without a pram for almost 4 weeks. I really need this resolved as its near impossible to leave the house with twins without a pram.

    Thanks again
    Sarah
