I am thinking about taking my 6 year old son away for a week at the end of August. We have already had our family holiday this year and OH can't come with us as he doesn't have any leave left.

I have never been to Greece but really fancied taking my son and the two of us going it alone for a week. I know nothing of Greece other than the lovely stories I have been told but I am wary of ending up in a lively 18-30 resort whereas what I am looking for is something small, quiet, clean and friendly with an on site pool and not too far from the beach. Oh and of course it can't cost the earth!

Are there any places out there like that still that anyone can recommend from experience? I have looked at a few of the web sites but I am not very good at deciphering the code :O)
