Living in rented property for 6 months

Hello Guys
Me and my partner have been living in the rented property for 6 months and it's coming up to our 6 month break clause, we decided to look at properties closer to the town and just wanted to know how we would go about it, it still with the same LA.
Would they still need to do the credit checks, and take a deposit and upfront rent ? as our initial deposit they already have for this property which is for £500.
when we first moved into the property it was unfurnished blue walls and ceilings with no carpets, now the LA are getting a semi furnished house, which is carpeted, re-decorated which was agreed in the contract. The LA have recently seen the property and really liked the hard work we put into the place, is some kind of negotiation that we could do to knock off the initial deposit if we have to pay?
Thanks

That brightened up a Monday morning.:)0 -
Though you liaise with the letting agent, your contract is with the landlord. A new landlord may be slightly baffled as to the request that they shouldn't receive a full deposit because you improved a property owned by someone else out of your own volition...0
