Changes to Halifax Reward Account?

I noticed that my online statement says the following: "We are making some important changes to our bank accounts. Please read the leaflet enclosed with this statement for further details."
However, I don't receive paper statements for this account and there was no other document online. Does anyone know what these changes are?

I'd guess that they want you to upgrade to the Ultimate Reward Current Account.Ultimate Reward Current Account
'X' indicates a field that needs to be completed.
Whether it's travel insurance or car breakdown cover, we all pay for certain products and services through the year. Yet, for just the cost of one or two of these, you can enjoy so much more with the Ultimate Reward Current Account, all for just £12.50 a month.
Here's a quick look at what you receive:- The first £300 of any arranged overdraft is interest-free (0% EAR). Typical 19.5% EAR variable on arranged overdrafts over £300. Whether you can have an overdraft and the amount will depend upon your personal circumstances at the time you apply for one. Any overdraft we agree is subject to status.
- A great range of account benefits, including peace-of-mind insurance cover, exclusive offers and great rates.
- 2.50% AER (2.47% gross) variable interest on balances up to £2,500 and 0.10% AER/gross above that.
Upgrading to the Ultimate Reward Current Account for just £12.50 a month is easy. All you need to do is select the account you would like to upgrade from and click next.0 -

Is this the first time you've logged in for a wee while, it could relate to the changes detailed below:-

*shrugs* I've checked my statement, but can't see anything, is it this month's statement or the previous? I've not had Februarys statement yet. I've certainly not heard of any other changes, and, as you've said, there's nothing on the website.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. Similarly haven't had the Feb (online) Statement yet. But ...... hopefully .... they may be wanting to tell us about removing the online interest rates / tax status etc from accounts ..... that they've already done! And possibly a few more bits about merging with the Lloyds IT systems that we don't know yet (and won't want to know ... when we do!)?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

I had a paper statement on Saturday, and enclosed with it was a leaflet detailing some changes. One of them was something about "no longer being able to pay bills or transfer money between your accounts" at a cash machine from 1 June 2010, and another change was that the mini-statements from cash machines will have a "new format and reduced number of transactions shown". There were one or two other ones: "speeding up how quickly cash is available for withdrawal when paid into your account at a Halifax cash machine" from 8 June 2010.0 -
