  • Our original contract says that we are NOT office based & are to work out in the community, we are now completely office based & never work out in the community that was not our decision but the way that the job has changed over the years.

Lol!! Well, I like his personality and he looks 'okay' in the picture, but it's a bit dark, and he's side-on, so I don't really know what he looks like.

If he's not nice, it will still be an evening out I guess (and I will try not to ditch him and make a run for the train!).

my original contract states no actual hours it says evening`s, weekends, which were not really disputing, its more the way its been done.(long shift patterns, office based working)
Should we have been given an actual consultation period to something that not even the unions have agreed to happening?

depending on the company its 30 days notice, but its written in your contract evenings weekends, don't quote me though Dh said. But thats what happens in his work

Have finished the front/back (what I can do of it) and started a sleeve. Did about 15 mins on twisty and rowy things and got a little lightheaded, but I'm ok now. Going to have a ciggy and a shower, and maaaaaybe I'll be back :)

    Thanks Claire,
like i say we had a meeting with our area manager & she told us that that was the start of our 30 day consultation, should we have it in writing though so that we can go away & speak to the union etc cus at the minute we have got nothing written down regarding anything that was discussed, this meeting happenend at the end of jan & we can`t remember the finer points of what was actually discussed.

Sorry to keep harping on but i`m getting really stressed obout it..:(

They should have given you a copy, or at least, give you a copy to look at so you are aware of the changes. If they don't they can't d omuch, as it's a change to your shift patterns then informing you in writing is not just polite, but necessary to keep records and/or contracts updated. But if it is in your contracts already there's not a lot you can do - except see if they wrote it down and get a copy - but you'd have to follow it anyway

Doubt really that there is much you can do TBH.
At the end of the day they are enforcing what is already in your contract.
Sorry that this wont be want you want to hear.
But speak to ACAS & see what they say.
