Can I put a microwave oven on shelf of open fronted cupboard?

Am about to have a new kitchen fitted but couldn't have an integral microwave because not having a tower unit. So, is there any reason why I could not position one on the bottom of an open fronted 'cupboard' which measures 1000w x 400h x 300d. There will be a topbox (1000 x 300 x 300) above this with 900h wall cupboards either side. TIA.

It depends on the clearance required for that particular model.

Thankyou. I am going to get a new one anyway, do they give that info with the spec of each model? Otherwise, how would I find it out please?

Sometimes you have to make assumptions ,
1000 W ?? mm cm inches :rotfl:

But i'm guessing there is more than enough room

Its written in the instructions that come with it.

You can search the web for instructions to have a look at for free if you find the model you want to buy.

You can often download manuals for a model before buying.
Just google the model and the word "manual".
Or go to the manufacturers website and search there.
