    did you win tara?
  • Hi everyone been a bit rushed off my feet the last few days, hope you are all ok. As usual still catching up so here goes

Am all body buttered again, I don't normally bother after a morning shower (am in too much of a rush) but I took the time do put it on this morning and feel much better. I'm still on the Sanctuary stuff, I love it. I prefer evening showers in winter as I can get all body buttered and pampered, sit in my soft bamboo robe and towel (and socks!) and let my hair dry naturally... bliss. Morning showers are a rush job!!

I found that yesterday too, I got a couple of Estee Lauder bits for free... I also keep getting offers to do my make up, so that has been fun!

I have had loads of great advice and samples from EL recently too

I've still got some Barefoot Doctor in my stash - I think it's actually been discontinued now! Bought a load when it was reduced to about 50p an item in Boots.

I did this also, used one and hated it so sold the other 4:o on ebay, they actually went quite well.

    used up
lush 'you snap the whip' body butter WIBA Nooooo, covered you with a thick black sludgy smear that left the bath lookingg like a coalminer had soaked his overalls in it.
avon rich moisture face cream WIBA not really for me felt too thick and greasy was nicer as a rich hand cream to be honest.
will use up a few sachets later doing hair washing and conditioning and a face deep cleanse and mask session.
I just wouldnt be able to relax, knowing what state the bath would be in when id finished:o
What we want and what we NEED are sometimes two entirely different things, thats why this thread is so popular;)
For example i know that i WANT lots of lush stuff but i really Dont need it so the last time i went in their shop was before christmas buying pressies for other people, ive been up town about 5 times since but avoided lush as i know i can spend at least £10 a visit on stuff just because it smells nice. Thanks to this thread i now realise i have cupboards full of stuff that smells nice (and its better to use up what i have than just keep adding to the stash without thinking.)
well done on winning the lippy Mags30:T

I don't know why I can't just avoid shops. It's like a hobby for me walking around clothes and cosmetic shops and Boots.

Tara the flake promotion is different in Ireland. (flake.ie) There are no wrapper codes, it's the last 4 numbers of the barcode that are entered. The barcode just happens to be the same on every pack
:rotfl:I take it cadburys do know about this:D.

    OH I have been a bad girl:eek:

could not resist the pull of BS sale as I walked past the shop.......2 body butters for £9 with my love your body card....but I did refuse to buy any more to get my card stamped and I did not spend anything in Debs despite having a £30 card as no bonus offers I liked.

    yet another failed flake:(:(:(

I have to confess ive had a number of failed flakes:o. Trouble is i love flakes and with the offer on too its impossible to resist.

Afternoon ladies! Please stop with the Body Shop glitch talk - I love a bargain and I'm not sure how much longer my resolve will last. I already ended up having a look online yesterday. wah.gif

I've finally finished my Trevor Sorbie Long Hair shampoo and relegated the bottle to the recycling bin. Would I buy it again? No, it didn't do very much for my hair at all. I've got to persevere with the conditioner though as I still have quite a bit of that left. I'll be having a nice pampering shower when I get home from work this evening and then my friend is going to dye my hair for me with one of the six boxes of semi-permanent colour that I have in my stash. I'm not sure whether to go red or plum toned.......

I must also confess to buying two flakes yesterday. :p

Must say i dont understand the lure of the body shop, lush also, do they do lots of fruity stuff that you guys like?

Whoever suggested Dior nude foundation thanks, I think its going to be next autumn/winters foundation...its so light and comfortable and natural.

Ive tried a number of damples of this and love it

I was one of those that sang it's praises, so you're very welcome :D

I still have a No 7 on the go and one more to use, but once they're used up I will definitely invest in a bottle myself ;)

Same here, except im not sure it was this that gave me an itchy face a few weeks back, may need to get another sample to try:o

  • Right ive caught up and now am off for a nap with my little girl. Was out with a friend last night, we felt like teenagers being out on a friday night (how sad are we) saw Shutter Island , it was really strange and spooky but would reccomend it.

All this pampering etc is really working , i have had three people say i looked beautiful this week (all women, so very flattering as they are much more discerning then men), ive never had such an inflated ego in my life, if im not careful i will be indanger of floating into the sky:rotfl:. Well i did say id transform into Helena christeansen with theamount of products ive been using:D.

Am going off Ralph Lauren Nototious and have almost a full bottle and body lotion to get through:o.

    Anyways will be on later

    Nab

    xx

The Boots Spa bubble bath has now gone! WIBA? Couldn't if I wanted to as it's been discontinued for absolutely years! :D I did really like it though - I think all I have left of that range now is a tube of hand and foot cream that will go into work to replace my bottle of Vaseline Intensive Care hand lotion when that one hits the bin - hopefully at some stage in the coming week (I'd like to finish it before I go on holiday). I've just had a sort-out in the bathroom cabinet and the next bubble bath is a bNatural relaxing one - after that it's my Sanctuary Mande one, then a massive bottle of Imperial Leather orange scented one which smells really nice!

Other things I'ved noted as I have gone through are:

Shampoo and conditioner - enough to last me all year, then some, thanks to the Tesco glitch! Apart from the second bottle of the Naked one though they are all from ranges I like using so that's fine, and OH has volunteered to do battle with the Naked one so I'll probably take him up on that.
Shower cream/gel - one mini bottle of S&G Clean on Me, a full size Boots Mediterranean one and a bottle of Johnsons Baby Softwash - although I will probably leave this one sitting there in case my skin starts reacting to SLS again. I've had to use nothing but that for the past 5 years plus so being able to use more interesting ones is now a real treat!

Facewashes - I have a part used Clinique one, and a part used Neutrogena one, which are both toi be finished before I start either the final "Boots Voucher glitch" Olay Total Effects or the Clinique liquid facial soap. I have a feeling the Olay one will be left until last! :rotfl:

Body creams/lotions - One bottle of lotion - a Royal Jelly one, and then just one big pot of Sanctuary Body Souffle. I'll use the lotion once the current S&G butter is gone, leaving the Sanctuary to look forward to I think! I also have a part used Holiday Skin though come to think of it so that might come ahead of those two to use. Just a shame those smell so rank!

Hair styling Products - I don't use much, and have a good stock of what I do use, so no spend needed there in the near future. I have unopened packs of JF Brilliant Brunette Shine shock and Frizz Ease Serum, several different heat protector sprays, and various other bits and bobs I shall have to experiment with at some stage!

Deodorant - 3 x "better than Free" voucher-glitch Dove ones (one of which is going on holiday with me and will be left in the cottage bathroom when we leave for the next people to use whatever remains in it) and one boots one.

Moisturiser - I'm about halfway through a Revitalift night and two-thirds through an Avon Thermafirm. One the night cream is finished I will go back to useing the huge pot of Avon rich moisture cream and for daytime I have several Clinique minis plus a full size DramDiff to use before needing to consider my next purchase.

Hey EH, if you like spa type smells, the Champneys range in Sainsburys do a seaweed bubble bath (think they do a shower gel too). That is really nice. I have to put in the bathroom cabinet otherwise I'd use it all at once!
