XBOX 360 Elite from sainsburys HDMI cable missing

I ordered an Xbox 360 Elite from Sainsburys last week and finally picked it up from the delivery depot. I'd been sent an xbox with a standard def cable. Unfortunatley I didn't save the advert and whilst their advert now mentions the value of a HDMI cable it doesn't state its actually included.

This offer it it doesn't include th HDMI cable isn't that great £199.99 from Argos gets you the same product plus the HDMI.

Have only just emailed the boys and girls at Sainsburys theri reply will be interesting......

PS does anyone have a screen capture of last weeks ad?

I dont, did the ad specifically say a hdmi cable would come with the xbox 360, you can buy a hdmi cable for £2/£3 so is it worth the bother unless you paid extra for it

99% sure it stated last week HDMI included.

Ad now doesn't list it as part of the accessories, but neither does it list the standard cable as part of the accessories.

Ad still mentions HDMI in blurb and the advantages of HDMI cable use.

£2/3 for a HDMI are you sure?

If you don't get anywhere in getting one from Sainsbuys, you can get an HDMI cable from Amazon Marketplace for 80p (same as the link custardy posted) when I bought. I have 2, one of which is used with my Xbox, and the quality is perfect.

For me the issue is it should've been included in the item bought. They have changed their advert but still mention using a HDMI cable. Sure it turns out I can buy one of possibly dodgy quality for a few quid, but the branded cable is more like £16 and its the branded cable that is missing.

If I bought items x y and z and they only provide x and y and then change their advert and still leave it worded in a misleading manner then that is poor.

I looked at that in Sainsbury's 2 weeks ago, is it the £159.99 deal? If so, when I looked it was only the console & controllers, no mention of HDMI cable in my branch.

even if it did include an HDMI cable it wouldnt be an M$ one
the 360 only uses HDMI 1.2 so it doesnt require any special HDMI cables
as i said, looking at the argos ad it looks like its a default text that makes a mention of HDMI cable but not that its included
