Overseas Holiday - Phone Advice Needed

Hi,
I am travelling to France on holiday and need a cheap way to receive calls from the UK.
The caller has a mobile that is paid for by work so I want to avoid the cost of receiving her calls on my mobile. Probably about 1hr per day duration.
Landline is not an option. Any advice welcome.

Previously we have taken an unlocked mobile from the UK to various countries and on arrival simply purchased a PAYG simcard and once activated sent a text to the people we need to who then call us.0
