Security Breach/Data Protection Act issue ?

Hi all,
Any advice appreciated here.
I will cut a long story short. A friend of mine recently purchased a washing machine from a well known department store, paid for it with his debit card and had it delivered to his address. However they have sent the invoice to me with the last 4 digits of his card on there !! I originally spoke to them about a price match and they took my details at that point and this is where the confusion has occured.
I have since asked them to send him the invoice but they are refusing claiming that Streamline have told them that the card is registered at my address. I have already called the bank with my friend and this is clearly wrong. I think they have since realised their mistake and now are slowly backtracking.
Is this a breach of the data protection act and any suggestions as to what I can do to sort this ?
Cheers
Adam

I'm confused, where is the security breach? It was clearly a mistake but what exactly do you you want from them?0

Genuine error, surely you aren't concerned about having your friends details? And only the last 4 numbers at that.
Can't see the problem, no-one died!:hello:0 -
Its only the last 4 numbers on the card so how is that an issue, the address well its just an address, nothing can be done with the 2 bits,0

Last 4 digits of someones card . . . . I CHALLENGE YOU to commit some form of fraud with that little piece of information, particulally a friends details.
Its a small mistake.any suggestions as to what I can do to sort this ?
there is nothing to sort out- unless your wanting to make a mountain out of a molehill ?0 -
Erm, that's why they only print the last 4 digits on receipts, so if anyone gets hold of a receipt they can't do anything withit.
As for the address issue, it was clearly a mistake.
I can't think what more you expect.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
