    Hello all,

Have just recounted my pot and found I had £116 as apposed to £94! Had a look at my money situation overall and have decided to use £100 to pay off some debt, and leave the £16 and then add to that.

I know that that's not really the point of the challenge, but when I have over £1000 debt left I ought to be paying that off before saving money. I am doing VSP so do have some savings, but it will be a great feeling going to the bank tomorrow and paying a chunk off my debt. Only been doing this challenge for 4 months and it has proved to me that it is really easy and very addictive to save, so I know that when all the debt is gone it'll be dead easy to do again. I will keep adding bits to the pot as I go, but will then use that to pay off more of the debt.

Thanks for the support so far, here's hoping you all save plenty of pounds this year!
I will be popping back to see how you're getting on, but for now I am gracefully bowing out to make a concerted effort on debt minimisation!!

I've taken my total of £2 coins - £64 - and have added £21 in "normal" money to the pot as there seems to be a shortage of £2 coins in my area. £85 total now but hope to switch to the £1 a day challenge with a view to having £365 for the end of the year.

I've a bit to make up ut I think this is a good way to have money in January (if you don't need it for Christmas) when everything seems depressing.
