Bank of Scotland private Bank, any of the large banks should have these facilities for their private customers.

Not sure if these services are provided to Jack Normal, you might have to be rich I think.

If it's one of the bigger banks (Lloyds, HSBC, NatWest etc), it's a big enough branch and you're an account holder then they'll probably do it for you for a fee, regardless of your status.

You do not need to be rich, or a private customer. It is for 'jack normal' and toffs alike.

£40 per year one off fee for a medium ized box for valuables.

However, the bank, as usual, will not take responsibility if it goes missing.

Which is quite bad if I may say so.

Then what is the point of the service if they will not take responsibility?

If it is documents you are wanting stored, a solicitor may be better suited. Certain documents (e.g. wills) can also be deposited at the High Court in London, for a one-off fee.

What!? For real? I mean what's the use of the safety boxes being there if they would just let it disappear and that they do not hold any responsibility for the things inside of it in case it disappears?

The bank may not ask you what you are putting in the box so if they do not know what they are protecting they cannot take responsibility for it.

I've not looked into it but the hidden nature of the deposits maybe the attraction to some people.
