Power cut,now my printer won't work

We had a power cut last night and now my printer will not work.If there was a power surge would hydro electric be resposible and replace it.Or is this just wishfull thinking?

    You'll probably find that the terms and conditions state that you are responsible for securing all items against surge damage.

    Check the fuse, if it still wont work then, trya differnt power cable, if it still doesnt work it may be an house hold insurance job.
    I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
