I have also ran avast scan and again nothing. However since the Zonealarm reboot I have been unable to do anything with Zonealarm, it will not run at all now. Even when I go to add or remove programme, a message pops up telling me Zonealarm had to close as there was a problem with it, even though it is not running.

Even worse is now I can't get on the internet. Keeps telling me browser has timed out? Getting really p***d off with it now. Can some one please help. I am in process of doing a highjack this log:,

    Im a tad confused

You mention avast, but cant see anything at all avast related in the logs?
As for zonealarm ~ which one have you tried to uninstall? Firewall or av?
try uninstalling both (Switch on windows firewall)

You also mention you cant get on the net but you clearly can else you wouldnt be able to post?

    Hi AliEnRik

I am using avast, can't understand why it's not listed. Unless I switched it off while trying out different things to get on the net. It is definately switched off now. As for Zonealarm, I have tried many times, unsuccessfully to remove it. It is the full av and firewall suite. There is only one listing for zonealarm in add/remove programmes list. Annoying thing is according to Conbofix zonealarm is still running, however it is not showing as running on the pc.??
As for posting on the net, no I can't connect to the net from MY pc, I am using my sons to post, as I mentioned in my earlier post.
By the way I am posting from another pc.

Thanks aliEnRik, finally success. At first it would not install the same version of Zonealarm (ver 7.0.783), then I tried the latest ver 9. It would not let me so I tried 8 and it has accepted and installed it. However it still took some time to respond when system restarted. So at the moment I am updating the trial version of zonealrm and will carry out some scans, before uninstalling it altogether as I don't want it anymore. I am thinking of having avast and comodo firewall on together, are they compatible? If anybody has had any bad experience with these please let me know. Or what is the best free anti virus and firewall people would recommend?
Again many thanks to people who have helped me.

Well Zonealarm av & firewall is paid for. So it should not have let these miscreants through....
