Scottish Power Cap ends today...

Hi,

I probably should have switched earlier. But my Capped for Free (electricity only) tariff ends today and Scottish Power are automatically going to roll me into the next Capped for Free period. I want to have some flexibility in moving before 2011 and I don't wish to pay a termination fee before then.

As I haven't had chance to look into switching yet - does anyone know which tariff I can switch too (via the online account) today that will stop me from having a termination charge. I can then spend the next few weeks looking at other suppliers?

I've searched here and looked on the SP web-site but I can't find clear and in plain English details on the tariffs and their termination charges.

Via my online account manager i can switch to: Standard, Online, Green, Discounted Energy, Capped, No Standing Charge or Fixed.

If anyone has any advice / tips it'd be much appreciated

Thank you
Jamie

  • Have a look at the T&C's for their Standard tariff. These are usually one of the most expensive tariff's but with none or very few restrictions.
