xbox wireless adaptor

My son bought the xbox wireless adapter fom argos 3 weeks ago, he has thrown the box away! However it will not work with his xbox/ or the wireless router. We were having problems eith our wireless connection but that is all sorted. we had somebody to sort out the wireless and he to had problems getting the xbox to connect wirelessly. We have now wired it to the router. We have tried to use the same adapter on 2 of his friends xboxes and neither of them will connect with our adapter. So I feel we have a faulty xbox adapter. Will argos refund me for it we have the receipt? It was 60.00 a lot of money for something that just won't connect. He has borrowed his friends wireless adapter and that was fine but we have decided just to hard wire it rather thasn any more hassle thats why I want a refund rather than a replacement.

There's a good chance you should receive a full refund as you seem to be rejecting the faulty item within a reasonable time after purchase, but do it quickly. You just need proof of purchase, the original box isn't necessary. I wouldn't mention your reasons for a refund as they may just think you are trying to change your mind.
