It is hardly racist given Islam is a religion and not a race.

absolutely correct S_M. as george osborne's brother adam (aka mohammed) showed with his conversion.

i'd say the sentiments that islam is taking over the uk from within are more akin to antisemitism than racism. still not particularly nice.

With racist views like some of those expressed earlier in this thread, it is little wonder that UKIP and the BNP get such a large percentage of the vote.

UKIP are not racist and worked with the other parties in the European Elections to try to prevent the BNP gaining seats. Alan Sked, who founded UKIP, had some history but had moved away from that by the time they founded UKIP. However Farage very much emphasised their non racist credentials.

UKIP as a party are not racist. That is not to say they do not have racist members but the same goes for Labour or any other party.

I'd agree with that sentiment. It makes me uncomfortable too and the original article in the Telegraph was rather poor IMHO.

It is more a symptom of some local councils being single party fiefdoms where you get groups of people, in effect, running it for years free from scrutiny.

I think the article is not only wrong, Private Eye is far better at exposing what is going on here and does it in a non-discriminatory way, but it will feed the BNP in their campaigns in nearby seats.

    Is this the same brother?

The more I hear about Cameron and his lackies, the more concerned I am about the possibility of them leading this country.

Looks like he is has lipstick on.

UKIP not racist ?? Best laugh I've had all day.

It made my flesh crawl to see that Little Englander Flamange vent his spleen at the EU President. Those sort of far right nutters might steal votes from the BNP, but they make us the laughing stock of Europe.

dispatches is all about IFE and tower hamlets on now.

think i'm going to prefer syrian school on BBC4. a more uplifting and educational view of muslim society.

so what did the show say?

that the IFE is something of a BNP/UKIP of muslim politics. that most muslims don't support it. that though politicking and exploiting the sometimes naive ignorance of some they have got more influence than they should. that our democratic system will ultimately triumph by exposing them.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

i remember seeing a documentary about kilroy-silk in which he was slagging off immigrants flooding into the UK. the irony was that he was being interviewed in his villa in spain where he had decided to live at the time.
