How to remove time gaps between mp3s

Ok I've just bought an mp3 player and have some live recordings as mp3s. When I play them I get a quiet bit between 1 ending and then next song starting. This is obviously not great for live stuff. Can it be avoided? Is it a function of the player?
Only solution I can think of is turning an album into a single mp3...

Thanks,
Adam

with my MP3's i edit them with http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

you will need to find the LAME DLL for encoding back to mp3 but this is easily found with google ;-)

but you can crop out the empty space at each end and of course its all FREE!

Ah gapless playback, I think that may be due to your player, in which case there's little you can do. Creating a single mp3 is the only option I can think of, apart from buying a new player or just putting up with it.
