[FONT=&quot]Now time for a sincere apology. For ages now, when I’ve been able to post the NOtW Bingo No.s, I've said that you need to call the claim line by 3pm that day. This was because I'd checked the back of the gamecard month after month after month, and nothing ever changed (not a mistake I'll be making again!). However, today on a whim, I decided to check the rules again – and winners actually need to call by 3pm on the Monday (i.e. the day after the paper's printed). Looking through my recycling, I found some old gamecards and this started just after the New Year.[/FONT]

Looks like a doctored photo to me - bet they don't all come out at the same time and that terracotta bowl looks a bit suspicious.

The majority of the restaurants listed in that "Curry for a Quid" list don't seem to know anything about this. I have called seven of them so far. Four aren't doing the offer. One owner told me that he had been called a couple of days ago by someone representing the News of the World and told them that he did not want to do it and they didn't have his permission to put his restaurant on the list. A few others did not know anything but said they would ask the manager who then said no. Only one had heard of it and said they would honour it - after confirming that I understood it didn't include rice or naan bread or drinks, which is fine. Another forwarded me to the manager who hadn't heard of it but said they would honour the deal.

So, only 2/7 of the restaurants in the deal list will do the deal. Well done News of the World!

Just called the only one in Derby, next nearest is about 12 miles away, and they are NOT doing it.

They only found out TODAY at 5pm when the first NOTW sucker called up asking to book.

No contact at all from the NOTW .... AND it turns out they've NEVER heard of the British Curry Club :eek:

They are not happy bunnies and can't wait to call them tomorrow and COMPLAIN !

I did find out they do an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET for £9.95 - and Monday to Thursday IT'S BOGOF :j

Overall this is probably a better deal than the NOTW's - might just try it out
