25th October to 1st November

Hi all,

We are about to book an all inclusive holiday for a week in costa brava - Top Royal Sun hotel for 2 adults and 2 children during 25/10/06 to 1/11/06

What is the weather like during that time of the year and are there activities still going on or will the place be "dead". Think I read somewhere about someone going late and things were being boarded up or something to that effect, not very sure.
Most reviews I have read online seems to be for during the summer holidays, half terms and early parts of the year.

Advice urgently needed since have to finalise plans ASAP.

Thank you.

I'd go further south to the Costa Del Sol, better weather.

thanks for the replies. unfortunately can't do anything about the destination as it's a deal with the hotel from work but can change the dates. Any dates bewtween 18th October to 1st November I can choose from for a weeks holiday, so want to know if the current dates are ok or be better to cahnge it to an earlier date.

I went over early in may for a day - it was VERY quiet. there were still ample facilities open. the weather won't be too great, low 20's I would have thought. Just out of interest how much are you paying? The Royal Sun didn't look too amazing, right next to a motorway & a walk to the beach.

If it is a Summer only resort and doesn't appear in Winter brochures, they'll start closing Sunday 1st October 2006. They'll have made their money and won't be bothered staying open.

If there aren't many activities for the children then even if it is a deal through work, it might not really be worth bothering with.

don't know whether it's a summer only resort and will be finding out. Paid for by work and a choice of either Top Royal Sun, Royal Star or Royal Beach hotels. company had business dealings with them and that is one of the benefit.

Could be expensive. Look the hotels up at https://www.tripadvisor.com and have a good look at the pictures.
