Hi,

I am going to madrid in September and have been checking out many sites

I looked at travelodge website earlier today, got a quote and put my card details in hoping it would say a final amount or a deposit amount but it then said thanks for my booking

The booking is three hundred quid and I didn't buy flexi so I read terms and conditions and it says cancellations are non refundable
The only light I can see at the end of the tunnel is that as this is in Spain they don't charge the amount until I would of turned up at the hotel, although now I have cancelled will they take the amount straight out my bank right now? I have emailed them although it says they take ten days to reply so I am worried they could of taken money out of my account by then

Is there anything I can do? Will they take the money? I am at the end of my tether!!

Thanks,
Piggy-Pack

EDIT: Forgot to add, cancelled straight away (Within a minute) And was never asked to confirm payment or put in my protected password (Am with HSBC and get taken to the extra protected screen) Plus I have given half a years notice so not like cancelled right at last minute

Nothing I'm afraid. I did the same once but then needed to leave from a different airport. Asked if I could move booking but answer was a firm no. The terms you signed up for make this a non refundable booking. You could try selling it on ebay

I would avoid this. You are still liable to pay and i assume they have your details? this means they will just invoice you differently. You made a mistake unfortunately and it sounds like you will just have to keep trying and chalk it up.

Can you not just stay there now if your that bothered about the money, i assume it wasnt for long if you were contemplating travel lodge?
    Back by no demand whatsoever.
