Guttering on terraced house

I wouldnt want a neighbour who would do that, I would prefer to live in a community rather than live in isolation, perhaps thats just me. I like to get on with people, ie sorting my neighbours shower out on friday, getting given a skinned rabbit for my tea yesterday, giving some off cuts as firewood to another neighbour and woodshaving for another neighbours horses and getting some eggs and parsnips as a thank you. Maybe thats what needs to change in society, a bit more looking out for each other and a little less selfishness, despite what the law entitles you to do.
You are clearly a better neighbour than mine, who has fitted stop ends! This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
Perhaps so, it is a very selfish thing to do as sometimes neighbours either side may not be able to or be able to afford to fit downpipes0

Hi,
Sorry to bring up an old post but I have a question:
- who is to say that the neighbours leak hasn't appeared/worsened in the past 6/8 months, and would've done regardless of work being done on the adjoining gutter?
It seems that as soon as you touch the guttering you leave yourself wide open to any future problems faced by neighbours.
How could any of this be pursued legally given the complete lack of proof?
Thanks in advance

well leaking guttering can cause expensive damage to the house in some cases a lot of damp is caused by ineffective leaks
Guttering is cheap to buy its labour that costs sometime a simple fix with guttering sealant can cure fixes by ideal on cast iron guttering the best and cheap way ot to paint them inside with bitumen paint very easy and quickish job0
