"I know you are not supposed to favor one creditor over another but if I ever came into some money I'd try & pay off MBNA first due to all the hassle I get from them."

Do you not think this may be why they use these nasty tactics? This way, many people will give them any extra money, just to get them off their back!

The nasty ones I have will be right at the bottom of my repayment list if I ever come into any money!!!!:D

Perhaps I ought think like you too, Caleo :)
I just find it really stressful when they are trying to squeeze a bit more cash out of me.
I'm so tempted to send their 'We want you to give us £200 now' letter back with 'Good luck with that!' written on the bottom;)

Well, here is what I do......changed my phone number. That drives them mad, by the way!!! Then on receipt of their letters, send a reply stating they have your SOA, and details of your payments. No changes at present, and then I file the letters. they never respond or acknowledge, but I feel better knowing it has been "dealt with".....and I keep everything for my records.

I am sorry to have this attitude, but it is all that has kept me sane over the past 5 months! I cracked when one insisted I carry on talking to him even though my baby was screaming to be fed. Needless to say I put the phone down......haven't spoken to one since!

I owe hem money, but I don't owe them my life!

    Thanks Caleo :)
Very useful info there. I can't believe someone said you should carry on talking while you baby was crying! I'd have put the phone down too.
