Bloody Hell - we're extremely quiet lately! :(:(

That can only mean one thing - the lenders and DCA's are extremely busy :rotfl::rotfl:

Well i probs look scary enough early on a morning before my first cuppa and cig... stalking the postie as he does his rounds, waiting for those elusive CCA's :silenced:. Mind you he brings me loads of junk mail for over 50's life insurance so maybe i DO look 60 :rotfl:

Tomorrow is the day. I'm sure of it. :A

Never mind NID, I'll keep you busy soon. Had a lovely letter today from citicards, saying they've decided to increase interest rates from 29 apr to 39 with no explanation...

If they think I'm paying that, they can go and make the proverbial sexual move with a duck....:rotfl:

CCA going off - let battle commence...:D
Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:

East mate - that is rate jacking and you refuse, then you pay interest at the original rate and the account is closed and made into repayment only.....

    Hi

I sent the 'default removal in exchange for F&F settlement' and was refused. They will accept 50% of the balance but will not remove the default..

    I have 2 questions:

    1. How does an account with bad payment history affect your credit file. i.e. Is it worth me paying it if they are refusing to remove the default due to the fact the bad payment history will still be there.

    2. How should I respond to the creditor that has knocked me back. I am tempted to reply saying that if they refuse to accept my offer then they will receive no money from me, but how will this affect my credit rating?

This debt is the oldest on my credit file, meaning this is the last that will drop off my file if I let nature take its course. So if I do not manage to get this one removed is it worth even bargaining with the other ones?

Does the amount of defaults on your credit file matter or is it all or nothing? 1 is as bad as 6?!?!

    Thanks for reading

The same thing has happened to my mum. Could it be 'cause she has requested the CCA?
