Putting a dress on Ebay, How much?

How about starting it low on an auction on Ebay but putting a reserve price on it so that it definitely won't sell for less than what you want for it? That way it gets more people interested.
The problem is I am one of the biggest whingers about reserves, I hate them, so best not use them
I think I will skip Ebay completely, happy to buy off it but think its all a bit of a hassle for £30 that I want for it!! Going to put in on work notice board and on Preloved!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

Just a wee note. Once you have sold it make sure you get paid before you post it off.[FONT="]

Thank knitnut, will do!!
Just to add, my poor daughter does look like a little dumpling in that picture but she is already 5'5" whilst still having a 12 year old 'round' shape! Bless her, she is slowly growing into her height!

Hi
Just wanted to add my experience!
I have bought two (yes two - indecisive i know) wedding dresses off Ebay now. Both cost less than £100 each for the traditional type white wedding dress and both are from big designers where brand new they would have cost in excess of £1000 each.
I found that i only really concentrated on dresses starting at less than £100 and dresses that were more expensive than this which i had on my watch list didnt sell, unless they were a particularly expensive dress when new - (one in particular that i watched was a £5k when new dress which sold for just short of £900)
I think you have to remember that despite what you may have paid for it originally and so what you think it is worth, the risks to the buyer associated with buying a dress over the net (dodgy dealings/doesnt fit/change of mind when seen in person) will probably limit most people in what they will pay for it.
I found i had a couple of other interested parties at my auctions, perhaps because of the low start prices!:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Thanks Sammy!! I have decided against Ebay, its just not worth the hassle as I only want back what I paid for it, £30!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0
