id take what the police said there with a pinch of salt
  • Well really the OP's story isn't far fetched at all, as I once got breathalyzed when I went to sleep in the back seat of my car under suspision of being in control of a vehicle while under the influence, I was just tired had not been drinking, but still, I had to go through a sobriety test... lets just say thats hard to do when very tired, but it is possible, I guess it just all depends on where you live

I'd love to know where you can buy a car for £2,600 that's worth £18,000 three years down the line :p

    Your local Alfa dealership :rotfl:

I got busted for sitting in the drivers seat with the keys in. I didn't know it was against the law at the time. The police said that if it's your car and your in it drunk, you will be arrested. I said what about this for example, what would happen here:- I drunk girl comes home in a taxi from the night out. Gets out of the taxi, taxi drives away. Someone jumps out of the bushes and attempts to rape her. She runs to her car in the driveway of her house that has a door unlocked. She gets in and locks the door. Attacker runs away. Police turn up. What happens. The police said she will be arrested. Like another poster said, there is no excuse! Unbelieveable.

Well of course she would be arrested. It doesn't neccesarily mean that she will be charged. To be honest though, that scenario is so unlikely, and so far-fatched, I'm just going to say that you're talking utter !!!!!!!!.

    To OP:

Yes, just getting keys out of car. Conveniently they are seperate to car keys and they were left in your car. There just happened to be a policeman patrolling a residential area. Please, tell us the rest of the story.
