Can anyone recommend an in-pond filter?

We have a small (3' x 6' x 18inch) pond, which needs a filter. The whole depth of it is above ground level, so I need one which sits in the water, not out of it. I've been looking at the combined pump, filter and UV units. Has anyone used one of these and if so, are they any good? They aren't cheap and I don't want to get one til I know if they are any good.

My pond bigger than your pond !!
Surface area is about the same but the depth is nearly three feet.
I use a green Genie filter combined with an U/V light powered by a Lotus pump.

It works very well , but the Green genie is above ground , hidden in a bench and the escaping water returns via a waterfall.

So only advice I can give, Yes to a U/V light and go for a well known make .
Then spares can easily be sourced.

Ps yes , its not cheap.

We have a pond that is a tad huge actually (more lakeish lol) and takes up most of one half of the garden grrrr.... we have used the Hozelock titan for a few years and it keeps it lovely and clear, I believe thats an all in one, because the hubby removed our external UV filter when we got that one. I believe they come in different sizes, start at about £60 or possibly cheaper on ebay!
