Hi, Looking to buy our first house in the coming months all being well and just want a bit of advice/feed back.

We're looking at buy with Home Buyer Direct, getting a 20% loan to assist with the purchase - Any comments regarding this?

we're looking at 187k house, 5% Cash Deposit and 20% from HBD 75% Mortgage

The builder has suggested RSC Financial Services for Mortgage advice, from what I can tell they are independent and whole market - Are these a well known company?

they have come back with what appears to be a reasonable mortgage, or so I am lead to believe - 4.89% fixed for 2 years, they tell me that due to the HBD and new build this is a good rate, it does sound ok to an un trained eye.
