Feel so bad...

Hi, I know what you mean. I think I'll be able to pay an extra £175 towards my c/c debt from my bday money. In the long term it's probably saving me more than that from the blasted interest.
Thanks for pointing that out and again it makes me feel better.

Happy birthday mate!
And don't worry, I've done that too! My Family knew I was putting it towards my debts and they didn't mind. It's your bday money and you should spend it on what makes you happy. And if working towards being debt free makes you happy then go for it!Was debt free... then went travelling!0 -
Hi
Happy Birthday!
Even the smallest bit of debt reduction seems like a nice present to me. My friends husband once paid off her credit card for her birthday and even though it wasn't a huge ammount it was a load off her mind.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

You could buy "treat essentials". For example shampoo, face masks, nail varnish, a dress for that wedding in November that you know you have nothing to wear for. Earmark it for things for you that are needed (but maybe not at the moment). Hope this makes sense?0

Happy birthday, and well done for being such a committed DFWer. I deliberately didn't ask for money for my birthday as i knew if i did it would go on living expenses / cedit card bills, and i really wanted some new clothes and stuff so i asked for vouchers, but if paying off debts makes you happiest then that is what you should do, but allow yourself a small treat. Hope you have a lovely day on Sunday.0
