Sounds to me like they have just had one of the hundreds of cars sent that they have got parked on the Docks at Bristol.

Unlikely when they've waited this long
  • Very simply the dealer is in breach of contract. Call consumer direct and query your rights.

I even had to call another dealer in the group to get to the bottom of the remaining quota (which they've assured me there are over 700 cars remaining which is plenty providing the dealer reorders by Tueday) and I had ask the other dealer to get the dealer principals contact details because our dealer wouldn't give them to us

the easy option here then, is to get your money back, and then buy from this other dealer

why give your money to someone who doesnt have your best interests at heart

however, you dont even have to use the dealer you bought the car from for future servicing, so even if you did continue with your current dealer, you dont have to frequent them in the future

STand by your guns, but dont hold out much hope. The key thing is to read the T's and C's on the back of the order. Think you will find that there are a fair few get outs for the dealer whereby they only have to return your deposit.

To the other poster with the Mini you were lucky, but I guess thats a good indicator of the level of customer service that BMW / Mini work on, wheras Fiat are known for their poor service and always come out at the bottom of customer satisfaction surveys.

Have you tried fiat customer services as I gather they are trying to improve the dealer networks standing so they may be interested in your poor experience and be able to help
  • Can the dealer not fit the aircon?
  • Tell the dealer you're taking your complaint to the Trading Standards dept. under the consumer protection laws

why would you buy a base model and pay for upgrades. Why not go straight to the spec you want?

Anyway, that aside, obvioulsy this dealer doesn't have your interest in mind, i personally, would walk away and buy elsewhere.
