Look in the back of your local paper.
There will probably be plenty of ads something like...
'Wanted - scrap cars'.0 -
try all your local car dealers - if the car is eligible under the scrappage scheme it might be worthwhile partaking of the scheme and then selling the car straight back to the dealer - they get a cheap, new car with delivery mileage that they can sell on their forecourt, and you get a much better remuneration, than from selling your car to a scrappy

sell current car to scrappy for £100
sell new car to dealer, that you bought under scrappage scheme, walk away with £500
i think it makes complete sense?

most dealers offer market value for a car - if you buy a new car for £5k on scrappage, but its current list price is £7k, then most dealers will be prepared to meet the seller mid way, espec if stock is hard to come by

So you buy a car from a dealer for let's say £5000 with the scrapage allowance (car costs £7000 new) - then sell back said car to dealership with another name on the logbook where they give you more cash for it than you gave them? Honestly?0
