 I got my Santander Zero credit card last November after reading martins review, the access to foreign currency from ATM`s abroad without charges was attractive as i was going on holiday in December. Before going away i set up a direct debit, on line, to pay the minimun monthly amount. On my return from holiday I checked the account and noticed there was no direct debit in place to make payments. So I called the help line( in Mumbai)and asked why the direct debit was not in place they didnt know,so i asked them to set up the D/D again and made a payment from my bank(on-line) to ensure i didnt have a payment default whilest the D/D was being processed. Each end of month since, the same thing occurs and when i ring the help-line they repeat the same old script. They dont know why the D/D has not worked. There seems to be a technical issue here as it is re-occurring every month.Does anyone else have this problem??

u can go into ur local branch and ask them to set it up and ask for proof that its done. if the same thing occurs again, write to them to complain and they will investigate it and put things right. if you incur any charges or effect to your credit score they will sort this and refund you. not ideal, but at least it will ensure its done.0
