Amazon? A local computer/electrical shop? University bookshops usually have them too. All the usual places.

It is possible to get them free from your uni (I presume that you're in uni as you posted in the student area). I got two 512MB USB sticks from Heriot-Watt University just by asking at the computing services.

    Maybe worth a try.

    Tesco do a 4GB one for £7.97 I believe...
  • Don't use the cheap Argos ones, they are absolutely useless! Mine broke after a few weeks, luckily I had all my essays backed up.

If you pm me I will send you one I have - I won it in a college competition and it's never been opened and no use to me.

It's an Intenso 2GB if that's any help!

USB sticks are great, take your work with you everywhere you go, work at home and then on the same thing at uni... the problem comes when you leave it somewhere. I heard about someone at my uni who faced disciplinary action as they left their pen stick in a computer room and someone then plagurised their work. Unfair, but what else can you do?

I now use an Integral 256-bit AES encrypted memory stick, password protected and more secure than the government. I'd reccomend anyone else who will be taking their work into uni to do this also. (got mine off ebay for £15 for 4GB)

    Dont get caught out!

Never have the USB stick as your only copy of the information because they can break and/or you can lose them.
One of my sons has lost two and another's broke.
