Ask your current supplier what your annual consumption of energy in Kwh is and then use that info in a couple of the comparison sites in the resource bar above to find out for yourself what the best deal is ... and indeed whether BG are lying to you.
If you don't at first see BG in the comparison site, you sometimes need to view more offers (some sites only show the top deals 10 initially).
What you pay per month can be totally different to what you actually consume.
If you don't want any more unsolicited marketing calls from BG, just tell them next time they ring. If they ring again after that for unsolicited marketing purposes, they are committing an offence."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
If you are taking gas from British Gas and EDF is your traditional regional electricity supplier then you have the worst of both worlds. You can certainly save money switching suppliers. But check the comparison sites for the best option. British Gas' cheaper tariffs could well save you £88 but other tariffs could also save you even more.0

The only advise i can give is do not listen to any salesmen.
Just do your own research and follow the advise on this site0
