i will look into the soa link..
i did write to creditors , but they havent listened to what i was telling them ..they sent me a financial statement to do and send back to them..which i have to do so they can decide on the repayments

    hi
well done for starting to deal with your debts they are many people on here that will help you

from what you say above then i would do the soa from the link ive given so we can try and help you sort out any savings you can make and also people will beable to tell you what creditors will and will not accept on your soa and then you can complete the one to send back to your creditors
however if your going to get help from cccs or similar it maybe worth waiting until you speak to them before sending anything back to creditors someone else maybe able to say whether this would be best

also if you go to cccs online they have a debt remedy thing you can fill in online and it tells you what they suggest so if you do that it may also give you some ideas

    Have you contacted the CCCS?

Your creditors will want as much as they can get and will not be interested in "sharing" with other creditors.
As long as you are paying your priority debts, the rest will have to get in line.

Refuse to speak to them if they phone and say you want everything in writing.
They have no right to see bank statements..only the Courts can demand that.
    I know it's not easy.
    I owe nearly £30000 (was £84000) and I pay £85pm through CCCS.
It was £400 but circumstances changed.
  • i thought thats what the dca's would do !
i am upto date with water and tv , bank is fine , my income support goes in there and i have no overdraft with them or bank charges owing
i have posted my soa using the soa calculator on a new thread .. feel free to take alook : )

I did see your other thread and the advice (as always) is so good.
NEVER speak to a DCA as they will bully you.

Handing everything over to the CCCS was wonderful.
We did change our telephone number (free) which was even better lol.

Last year, the CCCS advised me to go bankrupt but I really want to try and pay back what I owe.
  • i have heard cca mentioned a few times.. and have thought about giving them a call.. just wondering now with the little money i have left would they do small payments to dca's?

Have you tried looking on the local ebay bargain finder for a washing machine. Sometimes people change their kitchen machines because they are having new kitchen fitted....and nothing at all wrong with the old one;) Might be worth a look and would save repayments on crisis loan.

How about your local freecycle too? I see household appliances appearing quite regularly - they may not be the latest model, but they will keep you going for a while.
