Spark energy help...
Options
Does anyone else have spark energy supplying gas and electric to their home? I am looking for which would be the cheapest supplier for us. We are low users only 10828kwh gas and 2331kwh electric per annum. I dont have a clue which tariff we are on with spark energy though, on our welcome letter it says there are 2 tariffs standard and standard plus(if you pay by DD which we do) but when i look on price comparison sites, it gives me about 5 options. If I choose the standard or standard plus then we would save money by switching to scottish power, but if we are on the direct discount then we would be better off staying with spark.
Can anyone help please.
Many thanks

yeh I think on topcashback you get £120 cashback, but depending on the tariff we are on it might not be worth switching, on their website it says the 3 cheapest tariffs are discontued for new customers but am not sure when our house was first supplied by spark (as we rent) and they are only open Monday to Friday.... CONFUSED0

I'd be very wary of considering Spark. Search on the forums here, and see the reviews on the MoneySupermarket site. They seem to have a habit of setting high direct debits, then not repaying the overpayment. It took me 12 months to get any money back, and only then by sueing in the small claims court. Doesn't seem that unusual - look at the forum posts. Also, worth knowing that they repeatedly told me "We only have a set amount for repayments each day; we'll repay you in approximately 4 weeks". That was 7 months after I stopped being supplied by them. And the money didn't arrive. That cycle happened 4 times. Their cashflow seems precarious...0
