Boiler problems after service. Linked?

WB chap serviced our combi recently. No problems up till then, boiler was ticking away nicely. However, just after he left, we noticed the boiler was making a droning sound and it dropped pressure. I have to top the boiler up every few days so clearly something isn't right. There are also 2 fat screws left sat on top of the boiler, unsure if these are relevent or not. Also both OH and I feel the water isn't as hot, even although the dial setting has not changed.

So my question is, could an issue with the boiler itself be the cause of pressure drop? (Any time this has happened before, it's been because of pipework plumbing issues which have now all been rectified.)

Simplest thing to do is to call him back to re-check the settings on the boiler, eg the burner pressure etc.

Can you see any leaks or drips anywhere?

It could be that he checked the prv was working during the service and now, unluckily for you, it is leaking, which is a catch 22 situation, as you are supposed to test all safety devices at a service, but this can then happen. It has to me
