The on-line accounts for several suppliers are very close, with BG Websaver 6 shading it for many people.

Ebico, despite being a non-profit making organisation, are not necessarily the cheapest.

Electricity has been expensive for some time from ebico, but gas has been competitive, especially for PPM customers.

However, with a recent reduction in prices by BG, BG now boasts the cheapest gas & electricity prices for of any UK supplier based on average consumption and comparing an a supplier's standard tariff**. I guess it's not too dissimilar with PPM tariffs, since most suppliers now charge about the same on a PPM tariff compared to a standard tariff.

BG recently slashed their gas prices-but not electricity. That is why the are coming out cheaper on the comparison sites.
