Thanks to claire21 and nickinackyloo managed to get few packs of the farmy one for free with the dtd, I just went for that type, well chuffed. :D
  • Tesco Silverburn has loads of these (on the shelf-end and in the 'normal' cheese bit). SEL saying BOGOF on either 400g Red or 400g Uncoloured, expiry date 23/03/10. Bought two of each, but no BOGOF was applied at the till. No problems getting DTD (didn't even have to ask), so I've now got 1.6kg of cheese for free!
  • just been to tesco extra north shields got 4 white, did not go through as bogof got the 4 cheese and got dtd no problem,

Just got 4 whites from Bury St Edmunds. Didnt go through as BOGOF so took to CS desk and got £7.32 to begin with until I pointed out that it should be DTD. They then (very reluctantly I might add) refunded me £14.64, thank you very much :D.

Be careful anyone using this store as they dont have a copy of the policy up, and I have actually heard the Supervisor say to the staff "Only give DTD if they ask for it". Ive reported them to their HO in the past but they are still doing it.

Many thanks - Waitrose have a similar policy, where sometimes they give you a full refund for an item and then replace it, and sometimes you only get the difference or a full refund - again it depends on the person serving.

    Yes, you can freeze cheese.
