Hi there,
I recently got casio z120 camera as i was going on the holiday. But I was utterly disappoined on seeing the results. The pictures look very soft and faded out.
I used most of the modes in the best shot options for example natural green for the greenery and I also tried to increase the sharpness and the saturation but still the colours look a bit faded compared to my old camera (which was a tine 2 MP Minolta 20x)
I was quite impressed with the night shots but the daytime shots look over exposed and very bright to me with faded colours.
How can I improve the results from my camera?
Many thanks for looking in.

I have a Casio S100 and it has an excellent histogram which is RGB. Does your Casio have one also??
If it does switch it to appear when you are taking the picture. Make sure that the "bump" is in the middle and not towards the edges.
This is beacuse if the histogram is skewed towards the edge it means that either
information in the shadows is being lost(left skewed) or the bright parts(right skewed) is being lost.
Also make sure that the ISO setting is lower in bright light too!
Make sure that sharpening is turned down in the camera and make sure that the COMPRESSION is at a minimum.
The higher the compression the worse the picture will be!
High compression means a softer picture.
Make sure that the quality setting is on maximum. If this means you considerably less pictures on your memory card it is better to buy another larger one!
Sharpening should be done on your computer. A bit of unsharp mask works the best.0 -
Thanks Cat-The=5th
Yes indeed z120 also have the hstogram but I seldom use it.
Another problem i think was that most of the snaps have been shot using the BS mode- Shooting against bright light. Thats the reason I think that pictures were soft and also I had compressed them as well.
I will try with other settings now
Thanks once moreI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0
