Rendering

Hi. Does anyone know a rough price for rendering the back of a house?

The brick work has become very soft and when we have heavy rain (could do with some now tjough) the damp comes into the house. We have a few areas that need filling and i thought that rendering would be the best soloution.

Any other ideas?

    We had the same problem, crumbling existing render, bricks etc; I am in the middle of having it all done using a oil based system called "plyolite". It is amazing what the result looks like, I can Email you some pic of before and after. For cost, it all depends on the size of your walls but budget around GBP1200 per side.

    On an existing render, the blown pqrts (parts not stuck to the brickwork) are removed then refilled. A brushed on mixture of cement:sand and pva is applied to roughen the look. A coat of stabiliser is then brushed on prior to the paint being sprayed. Quite a job as all openings are masked off with paper and tape but the finish is amazing and there is no need to re-paint for at least 15 years. Am on holiday at the moment, send me a private Email where I can send the pictures when i get back;
