Porridge (although I can't stand the stuff) so otherwise, Weetabix, Oatibix , which I have, or I think Shredded Wheat is supposed to be one of the better ones0

A massive fry-up including fried bread, black pudding with a giant mug of tea with six sugars in it.0

Something on toast.
Something that makes you feel like you've had a meal, not just a bowl of cereal, they are only meant to last for a couple of hours on their own.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

porridge has a low G.I index so will release energy slowly over the course of the morning with out the need for you to snack mid morning.0

Porridge only does me an hour then I need food again, unless I have a double portion :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I do believe in having protein in the morning, but porridge is fantastic for slow-release energy. So I make porridge and stir whey protein into it
Very filling for a good long time, and I also get a better workout after eating it!

Two boiled eggs and a piece of wholemeal toast - keeps me going till lunchtime no trouble
and actually not too much hassle.

Porridge gets my vote, it's a good source of protein, low fat (especially if you make it with skimmed milk or water), warming and filling. It's slow release energy as someone already said and is super cheap.
What's not to love!
Other breaskfasts that I like as they have no added sugar are Shredded wheat and wheatabix is OK but it does have added salt and sometimes sugar.
I like to make a muesli mix for my DS using oats, wheatbran, sultanas, chopped nuts, dried apple etc. whatever I have going really. Muesli has a reputation as being health food but is actually quite often loaded with obscene amounts of sugar. I know the dried fruit had sugars in but at least it has some nutritional value.
I'll get off my soapbox now lol! Just the muesli thing really bugs me.

Porridge (but I only like it with loads of salt, so not so good), or scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast - keeps you full for hours.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
