You could try and pay more off beforehand if poss. Then transfer some to a virgin card 16 months @ 0%..... minimum payment is only £25 altho as always, you should try and pay more.

At the end of the day, you borrowed and need to pay it back. If you make the term longer then the interest WILL increase.
You cannot expect banks to reduce loan payments for everyone that can't keep their legs shut.

You don't know anything about her situation, yet you make some seriously abusive comment. I have reported your post as I think it's out of order.
Do you feel the same way about other unplanned events like losing your job/your partner/splitting up etc?
Eschaton - talking to the loan provider is definitely what I would do, there is no reason why they can't extend the term of your loan - it will cost you more overall but it's better than getting into arrears.

can you over pay your loan a little each month now until you go on your maternity leave it may help with the bank if they can see you are serious about paying it off :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
